The Miles That Matter was born from a deeply personal place.
For Will, the Bighorn Trail Run is more than a physical challenge. It is a commitment to himself and to the life he has worked hard to build. After choosing a life of sobriety, Will leaned into accountability, healing, and forward momentum. Running became a way to stay grounded, focused, and present, one mile at a time.
This journey was never meant to be taken alone.
Will asked his closest friends to run alongside him, not just for support, but for accountability. Together, they have committed to showing up in training, in recovery, and in purpose. Every mile they run represents trust, discipline, and the power of community to carry us through hard things.
The Miles That Matter exists because of this belief:
We are stronger when we move together.
When we choose accountability, movement becomes more than motion - it becomes meaning.
